TSUTV / Comcast on-Demand

Comcast on Demand Channel
Texas Southern University is the first historically black university to receive its own channel on Comcast’s On Demand channel. This partnership between TSU and Comcast in Houston allows students in School of Communication classes to produce programs and then post them on the Comcast On Demand channel for viewing by Comcast cable subscribers. These shows can range from news and current events to sports, entertainment and cultural events on TSU campus and from the Houston community. Additional programs will showcase programs from the TSU’s video archives.

TSU TV is the television production division of the School of Communication. There are two divisions: student productions and staff productions. TSU TV provides opportunities for Radio, Television and Film students as well as Broadcast Journalism students to display their work on the On Demand channel as well as other video outlets locally, regionally and nationally. Programming focuses on various topics such as music, fashion, health, politics, news, technology and community events. These productions permit the public to view the professional programs produced by students and staff in the School of Communication at Texas Southern University.
